Faraz Ramji

Chairman

Faraz is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jaffer (the founders). He grew up in the UK where he studied Development and Politics at the School of Oriental and African Studies.

 

He currently resides in Kenya where he runs Norda Industries but visits Rwanda frequently. He has also recently founded a UK registered charity, Marafiki Africa Foundation that awards grants to credible grassroots projects in East Africa.

 

He has been involved with Les Enfants de Dieu since 2004, and currently chair’s the Board.  He brings strategic and operational guidance and experience in social enterprise, development and East Africa.

Sheida Jaffer

Vice-Chairperson

Sheida is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jafffer (the founders). She grew up in Rwanda and has since lived in Europe and North America. She currently resides in Kenya and visits Rwanda regularly.

 

Sheida holds a Masters Degree in Psychotherapy and Counseling and has a wealth of experience in this field, specifically working with trauma patients.

 

Sheida oversees all psychosocial activities at the centre and serves on the Board as Vice-Chairperson.

 

A. S. Natarajan

Treasurer

Natarajan is a Chartered cum Cost Accountant from India living in Africa since last 22 years. He is also one of the founder members of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Rwanda.

 

He is actively involved in various social organizations in Rwanda. He has been with the Centre since its inception and currently the Honorary Treasurer.

Urvashi Joshi

Secretary

Urvashi grew up in India. She studied Business Commerce ( 2003) and Media Economics in 2007.

 

Before moving to Rwanda She was working for International school in Gujarat, India.

 

She currently lives in Kigali, Rwanda where she manages  an International Radio and TV station and serves on the board of Les Enfants de Dieu as project Secretary.

 

Vincent Kalimba

Board Member

Vincent is Rwandan and has over seven years of experience working directly with communities in the area of employment and economic development programs of youth in particular.

 

Vincent is the Village Director for Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village (link) – a residential community in rural Rwanda whose mission is to enable orphaned and vulnerable youth to realize their maximum potential by providing them with a safe and secure living environment, health care, education and necessary life and enterprise development skills.

 

Vincent serves on the Board of Les Enfants de Dieu bringing his wealth of knowledge on youth empowerment and development.
